The Valley has witnessed unprecedented violence over the past few months on account of stone pelting and some recent cases of bank robbery by terror outfits. This has been backed by action along the LoC where Pakistani security forces have been targeting Indian posts and in an incident last week Pak’s Border Action Team (BAT) had beheaded two Indian soldiers.
The Centre is closely monitoring the security situation in the Valley as intelligence reports suggest that terror outfits will try and step up their activities in the next few months by attacking security forces and using local residents to carryout protests.
