Hotel case: ED set to question Lalu Yadav

The Enforcement Directorate recently registered a money laundering case against Lalu Prasad and his family members in connection with the case.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which recently questioned former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi in connection with the IRCTC hotel scam, is now preparing to examine RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with the case. The CBI, which is also investigating the case, has already examined Lalu Yadav in connection with the case.

Sources said, “The central probe agency is now scrutinising the statement given Rabri Devi. Now the agency is planning to examine RJD chief Lalu Prasad in connection with the case”. Ms Devi recently met officials of the ED in Patna in connection with the case.

Ms Devi, accompanied by her eldest daughter Misa Bharti and her husband, recently met the officials at the ED’s zonal office in Patna. Rabri had ignored summonses from the ED at least six times.

The Enforcement Directorate recently registered a money laundering case against  Lalu Prasad and his family members in connection with the case.
