New Delhi: India issued a demarche to Pakistan on Wednesday and summoned a Pakistani high commission official over “the death of an Indian soldier in unprovoked ceasefire violation” by Pakistan on Tuesday.
“Our grave concern at the continuing incidents of unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Pakistan forces along the LoC and the International Border was shared (with Pakistan). Despite repeated calls for restraint... Pakistan forces have carried out 301 incidents of
unprovoked ceasefire violations... this year,” the MEA said in a statement.
