Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh cyber police on Thursday arrested a Pakistan-returned youth and his brother on charges of threatening chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on social media.

Jitendra Arjunwar allegedly tweeted five times between August 2 and August 9 in which he threatened to blow the chief minister away with explosives when the latter entered Seoni in Madhya Pradesh during his ongoing Jan Ashirvad Yatra, the police said.

One of the five tweets posted in his Twitter account was tagged to the official handle of chief minister threatening him directly. Cyber sleuths traced him by tracking his cell number.

Twenty-one-year-old Jitendra, a sickle cell patient, was repatriated by Pakistan where he landed six years ago after straying into the neighbouring country from Rajasthan border.around four months ago following efforts by human rights activists of both the countries.

Jitendra reportedly was angry with the state government for not getting any financial assistance despite being assured by the chief minister following his release from Pakistan jail. Hence, he issued the threat to kill him, the police said.
