BJP merges key wings for better reach, synergy

New Delhi: Ahead of next general elections, the Narendra Modi government wants to consolidate its publicity and advertisements wings by creating a unified organisation to project its regime’s achievements among common masses.  

Sources stated that the central government has decided to unify the Directorate of Film Festivals, the Song and Drama Division and the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity.

The unification is expected to help ensure better reach and synergy in the projection of people central policies of the Narendra Modi government among the citizens, added sources.  

It is understood that the move comes as part of Union Information and Broadcasting ministry proposal to restructure its various departments. Through the merger, the I&B ministry hopes to aggressively promote the Mr Modi’s welfare schemes across the country.
