Talking to news agency ANI, father of the rape victim said, "I found her body after eight days. I first thought that some animal must have eaten my daughter when she went to the forest to graze the horses."

With a sorrowful tone, the father of the 8-year-old added, "I did not expect that my daughter will be a victim of such a heinous crime. Police used to visit us daily and ask if we have found her. They even asked me to go to forest and look for my daughter. I went to the forest and found body of my 8-year-old daughter. I was really shocked and upset to see the body of my daughter."

Not just the father, the mother of 8-year-old girl is also trying to come to terms with the loss of her daughter. Pleading for death sentence for the culprits she said, "What harm did my daughter do to those men who brutally raped her. She was only eight years old. We want that culprits to be hanged. The culprits should be killed in brutal way as they killed my daughter."

On January 10, the little girl in a purple dress, was grazing her horses near her one-room home when one of the accused, a 19-year-old, called her into the forest pretending to help look for a missing horse. The horse returned without her.

The police said the man dragged her to a small village temple and drugged her. For three days, the man and two others gangraped her repeatedly, keeping her sedated and without food. She was then strangled and hit twice with a heavy rock for good measure -- one of the men stopped the killer so that he could rape her one last time.

The girl's body was found on the forest floor on January 17.
