J&K: Mob ties cop to chair, bashes him for clicking picture of woman

Ganderbal (Jammu and Kashmir): A policeman has been arrested and has been beaten up by a frenzied mob for allegedly clicking pictures of a woman while she was standing at Manigam Bypass in Ganderbal of Jammu and Kashmir.

The policeman, who was disguised as a commoner, was tied to a chair and made to open his sweater.

As of now, the cop has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. Fayyaz Lone, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal said, "One girl gave statement in police station that her pictures were allegedly clicked by a cop. We have immediately registered an FIR in this case."

SSP Lone further said that strict actions will be taken against the cop, "We have taken actions against him and he has been arrested. Law will definitely take its course."
