Bhopal: A purported video in which Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was heard announcing a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on the head of a groom from a minority community who married a girl of his community has gone viral, landing him in a soup.

Mr Gagmadi purportedly made the announcement while addressing an anti-reservation rally organised by his outfit at Dongra under Ratlam district on Sunday.

The video went viral on Monday, prompting the local police to begin a probe into it.

“The matter has come to our notice. We have already video-recorded the event and are now scrutinising the content of the video. Necessary action will be taken against those who made such provocative speeches on the occasion,” Ratlam district superintendent of police (SP) Pradeep Sharma told reporters on Monday.
