New Delhi: The Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra on Wednesday deferred its decision on the elevation of Uttarakhand high court chief justice K.M. Joseph as a judge of the apex court.

No date has been fixed yet for the date of its next meeting, which can now be held only be in July when the court reopens after the summer vacation.

Sources said while there was a consensus on Justice Joseph’s elevation, some more time was needed to finalise the names of the other judges.
