MP: Kamal Nath takes swipe at Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Ruling BJP however defended Mr Chouhan saying that, an accused cannot be counted as a convict unless he or she was convicted by a court.
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh (MP) Congress president Kamal Nath on Wednesday took a lyrical swipe at chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for sharing dais with an accused in Vyapam scandal, involving corruption in adm-ission in different medical colleges and recruitments in various government jobs in the state.
Mr Nath took to Twitter to slam Mr Chouhan for campaigning jointly with former state minister Laxmikant Sharma who was charge-sheeted in the Vyapam scam by the special task force (STF) and jailed for several months in the case, in Vidisha district on Wednesday.
Mr Chouhan was seen sharing dais with Mr Sharma, who was out on bail, at a public meeting in Vidisha district, organised as part of the latter’s ongoing Jan Ashirvad Yatra launched three mo-nths ago to develop direct communication with electorates across the state ahead of November 28 assembly elections in MP.
A picture showing the former minister gesturing towards the chief mi-nister was also uploaded in Mr Nath’s Twitter wall with a lyrical caption.
