MP: 26-year-old man commits suicide hours before his wedding ceremony

Nashik: A 26-year-old man allegedly committed suicide hours before his wedding ceremony in the district, police said on Friday.

Prashant Namdev Khairnar, who worked as a junior engineer in a Nashik-based firm, was scheduled to get married on Thursday.

However, just a few hours before the wedding was to be solemnised, Prashant hanged himself from the ceiling at his house in Pimpalgaon-Wakhari village of the district, an
official at Devala police station said.

Police were yet to ascertain the reason behind suicide.

The Devala police registered a case in this connection. The man's body was handed over to his family members after a postmortem was done at Devala rural hospital.
