New Delhi: Even 20 months after the Centre had scrapped interviews for lower level posts, nine states, including BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, as well as Trinamul Congress governed West Bengal, are yet to implement the order.

According to highly placed sources, these states are yet to take a call on discontinuing the process.

However Sikkim and Meghalaya have not implemented the Centre’s order, sources have informed, citing several technicalities related to it.

Though the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh only in March this year, the noticeable fact is that it has been five months since the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP dispensation has been in office, yet it has failed to take a call on whether to follow the Centre’s diktat or not.
