Bhopal: Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday threatened to disrupt enactments of Ghoomar song drama of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in school and social functions in Madhya Pradesh. The activists of the right wing outfit alleged that the song denigrated Rajput community by showing Padmavati, the purported Rajput queen, dancing before a Muslim emperor and they would not hesitate to vandalise the sets if the song was enacted in any school or social function in the state.

“We can no longer tolerate any attempt to denigrate culture of our community”, the activists told reporters at Ujjain in MP. They also announced that the outfit would stop screening of the movie if released with objectionable scenes including the Ghoomar song. The outfit also decided to launch statewide agitation in March, 2018 to demand scrapping of reservation system in education and government jobs.
