Madurai: Simmering differences within the ruling AIADMK over the party’s support for the Narendra Modi-led BJP regime, has now come out in the open.

While diary minister K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji swore by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare that “nobody can shake the AIADMK as long as Modiji is with us,” Thiruparanku-ndram AIADMK MLA, A.K.  Bose questioned the interference of Mr. Modi in the regional party’s internal affairs.

Both of them made these statements while participating at the AIADMK’s 46th foundation day celebration organised at different places on Friday night.  “Until Modi is there, we have nothing to worry about. Even Trump (American President) or Obama (former American President) can’t do anything to our party. Whatever trouble we face, Prime Minister Modi is there to help us”, said Mr Bhalaji addressing the party functionaries at Periyakulam near Theni, the hometown of AIADMK deputy chief minister, O. Panneerselvam.

However, at the party meeting held at Thiruparankundram, the party MLA Bose said that Modi “has got the strength to destroy the AIADMK only because of some senior party functionaries who are greedy for power.”
