Mumbai: The 17th Lok Sabha election that began last month has grabbed the headlines all over the nation, with people discussing politics in every nook and corner and getting hooked to their smart phones and television screens, tracking the results.

Ahead of the counting of votes, a man was found walking around with an LCD screen displaying results on his back at a Mumbai Metro Railway station a twitter user posted.

As per poll trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to retain power at Centre for the second term.

Earlier in the day, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Heeraben came out of her home to greet the media.

The 2019 elections, which spanned six weeks, registered the highest ever voter turnout in the history of Indian parliamentary elections.
