Bizman rescued after 13 days of abduction
The rescue team covered nearly 1,000 km in seven states before nailing the kidnappers.
Bhopal: A Chhattisgarh businessman, who was abducted by an interstate kidnapping gang 13 days ago, was finally rescued from his captors early on Wednesday morning.
A team of Chhattisgarh police led by Raipur senior superintendent of police Arif Sheikh had trailed the gang members when the latter were moving along with businessman Pravin Somani after abducting him from Siltera, near Raipur, 13 days ago in different parts of the country and finally freed him from his abductors at place a bet-ween Fazabad and Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh early on Wednesday.
“The rescue team covered nearly 1,000 km in seven states before nailing the kidnappers when they were fleeing, carrying the businessman in their captivity at a place between Fiazabad and Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh”, Chhattisgarh director general of police D.M. Awasthi told the local media late on Wednesday night.
