Advertisements to focus on PM Modi's pet projects
The campaign is expected to be launched ahead of the third year anniversary of the Narendra Modi government on May 26.
New Delhi: With the Narendra Modi government completing three years in office, it will launch a media campaign teleacsting the success stories and views of people who have received benefits of various policies being implemented by the Centre. The campaign would also aim to compare the benefits to people given during the UPA-2 regime and the first three years of the NDA government.
Unlike earlier years, when the annual advertisement blitzkrieg focused on the policies and outreach, this year, the media plan is likely to be changed entirely, sources stated.
The campaign is expected to be launched ahead of the third year anniversary of the Narendra Modi government on May 26. “All government departments and ministries have been asked to submit their achievements during these three years to the Union information and broadcasting ministry by March 15,” sources added.
It is understood that the campaign will be launched in April and the preparation for the same has already been initiated at several levels in the government. As part of the campaign, jingles and advertisements for radio and television will be prepared. The Press Information Bureau is expected to take an active part in the entire process. A similar plan for print and social media is also being prepared, sources added. It is understood that interviews of beneficiaries under the government schemes are expected to be a major part of the campaigns in an effort to make a direct connect with the people, sources stated.
The I&B ministry has already held several rounds of preliminary meetings regarding the three year campaign for the NDA government. Sources stated that portions of President’s address and finance minister’s budget speech are also likely to be used in the campaign. The campaign is also expected to be focused on programmes that are considered close to Prime Minister’s heart.
