Opposition creates ruckus in Bihar House
Members of RJD and left while demonstrating at the Assembly gate blamed the JD(U) for supporting the CAA in the parliament.
Patna: The budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly began on a stormy note on Monday as the Opposition tried to corner the state government on a host of issues including unemployment, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Popula-tion Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Members of RJD and left while demonstrating at the Assembly gate blamed the JD(U) for supporting the CAA in the parliament.
Talking to reporters RJD leader Bhai Virendra said, “The opposition will continue to raise the issue till a resolution is passed in the state assembly to prevent the implementation of divisive CAA, NPR and NRC”.
The RJD also rejected Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s assurances that “the NPR exercise will be carried out on the basis of 2010 format”.
