MP: Road accident in Mandsaur kills 2, injures 7

Mandsaur (MP): Two persons were killed and seven others injured on Friday in a road accident near Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, police said.

The mishap took place when a Maruti van collided head-on with a speeding container near Ratanpura village, Bhanpura Police Station In-Charge Gopal Singh Chouhan said.

All the victims, including the injured, were travelling in the van and returning to their village Lotkhedi after visiting a temple, Chouhan said.

The deceased were identified as Anand (23) and van driver Kailash Meghwal (30), he said.

Seven persons were injured and admitted to a hospital at Jhalawar in Rajasthan, the police officer said.

"The driver of the container is absconding after the incident. We have registered a case and investing further," he added.
