Jaipur: Taking a pity on Indian education system, noted Hindi satirist wrote in his epic novel Raag Darbari: Our education system is like a street dog, every passer by loves to kick.

Replace education with history and you have a host of BJP leaders in Rajasthan kicking around with it — not literally though. The latest one to impart his unique knowledge of history is Rajya Sabha MP and state BJP president Madan Lal Saini.

Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, Mr Saini claimed that before breathing his last Humayun’s words of wisdom to his father was that if he wanted to rule India then he must accord respect to cows, women and Brahmins. For the record, Babur died in 1531 while Humayun in 1556.

“Mujhe yaad aata hai; jab Humayun mar raha tha usne Babar ko Bulaya aur kaha agar Hindustan mai shashan karna hai toh teen cheezo ka dhyan rakhna – ek toh gay, Brahmin aur mahila (When Humayun was dying, he called Babur and told him — if you want to rule Hindustan, you must keep three things in mind — respect cows, brahmins and women,”) the newly appointed state BJP president said while responding to media queries.
