J&K's Budgam encounter ends, search operations underway

According to the police, two terrorists were neutralised in the gunfight that broke out in the wee hours of Friday.

Budgam: The encounter that ensued between security forces and terrorists here in Sustu village in Budgam district has ended and search operations are underway, Jammu and Kashmir police said.

According to the police, two terrorists were neutralised in the gunfight that broke out in the wee hours of Friday. Identities and affiliations of the terrorists are being ascertained.

Four Indian Army personnel belonging to 50 Rashtriya Rifles also sustained injuries during the encounter.

Meanwhile, Srinagar Police has issued an advisory requesting locals not to visit the encounter site as it is being sanitised and cleared by Bomb Disposal (BD) squad of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
