Patna: Opposition RJD and its allies created a ruckus in the state Assembly on Tuesday over the alleged soaring crime graph and series of scams which has rocked Bihar within a span of one year.

While the Opposition alleged that, “no major action was taken against people involved in scams”, Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi defended the state government and fired Benami property salvo at the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.

“Leader of the Opposition keeps disturbing the house by raising issues related to scams but never says how he gathered so much property at a very young age. He must speak about such issues because people of Bihar wants his reply on the Benami property deals”, deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said while defending the state government in the state assembly on Tuesday.

The Opposition parties have been raising issues related to scams and deteriorating law and order situation in the state ever since chief minister Nitish Kumar dumped the grand secular alliance and returned to NDA fold.

According to Congress party legislators, the cognisable crime graph has gone up because the good governance policy of chief minister Nitish Kumar has failed and people are being killed out of vendetta politics.

The Winter Session of the state Assembly, which began on Monday, will conclude on December 1. Sources claim that the session is likely to remain stormy as Opposition parties are planning to continue its attack on the state government over series of scams which surfaced in Bihar recently.
