United in grief, 2 women may fast unto death
Seema Singh, the distraught mother of Sara Singh, broke down at the press conference and appealed to the BJP not to induct Aman Mani into the party.
Lucknow: Two feisty women, united in grief, are now preparing to take on the Bhartiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh.
Nidhi Shukla, sister of slain poetess Madhumita Shukla who was killed by former minister Amar Mani Tripathi, and Seema Singh, mother of Sara Singh who was allegedly murdered by her husband Aman Mani Tripathi, have announced that if Aman Mani Triptahi is inducted into the BJP, both would start a fast unto death in Delhi.
“Amar Mani and his wife are responsible for the murder of my sister Madhumita while their son Aman Mani Tripathi is responsible for the murder of his wife Sara Singh,” Nidhi Shukla told reporters on Wednesday.
“Aman Mani is now trying to join the BJP and had met chief minister Yogi Adityanath four times in the past five weeks. If that happens we will start a fast unto death,” she said.

Aman Mani Tripathi won his first election form Nautanwa Assembly seat as an Independent. He recently made news for sharing the stage with the chief minister in Gorakhpur and also meeting him at the Gorakhnath temple.
When asked, he said that Yogi Adityanath was his “guru and guardian” and he would do whatever the chief minister told him to do.
The two women said that though the chief minister shifted 100 criminals to far-flung jails to break their nexus, Amar Mani Tripathi and his wife have not been shifted out of Gorakhpur jail.
