Ex-IAF man among two held for MP train blast, Lucknow siege

The two arrested are Ghaus Mohammad Khan, said to be the mastermind of ISIS' Khurasan module, and Azhar Khan, who was supplying arms.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s anti-terror squad (ATS) arrested two more persons, including a retired Air Force personnel, in connection with Tuesday’s train blast in Madhya Pradesh that led to an anti-terror operation in Lucknow. The arrests were made from Kanpur. Six persons had earlier been arrested from UP and MP in connection with the blast in which 12 people had been injured.

The two arrested are Ghaus Mohammad Khan, said to be the mastermind of ISIS’ Khurasan module, and Azhar Khan, who was supplying arms.

Ghaus Mohammad a.k.a. Karan Khatri, is a retired airman and had been providing literature and arms for radicalising youth.
