Chandigarh: 9-year-old girl critical after youth rapes her

Chandigarh: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Panchkula district's Abheypur village, police said today.

The accused, living in the victim's neighbourhood, kidnapped and later raped the nine-year-old yesterday close to her house, they said.

The girl has been admitted to PGIMER, Chandigarh in a serious condition.

"We are hopeful to make early arrest in the case," DCP Panchkula Anil Dhawan said.
