Rajasthan: Man beaten to death over property dispute

The body has been kept in mortuary for post-mortem and hunt for the accused is on, police said.

Sikar (Rajasthan): A man was allegedly beaten to death over some property dispute in Sikar district today, police said. 

The families of Bhagirath Mal and Chhoti Devi had a property dispute. A court had recently given an order in favour of Chhoti Devi's family.

However, both the families had a scuffle with each other while taking possession of the disputed land. 

In the fight, Surjaram, a resident of Pardoli village was allegedly beaten severely, which eventually led to his death, SHO Sadarshahr, Mushtaq Khan said. 

The body has been kept in mortuary for post-mortem and hunt for the accused is on, he said.
