Odisha: Student says teacher harassed her

As per the complaint, the minor student was forced into unnatural sex repeatedly over a period of time.

Bhubaneswar: A 10-year-old student of Gurukul Vedik Ashram at Vedavyas in Odisha’s Rourkela city on Wednesday brought sexual harassment allegations against a teacher and three other hostel inmates.The incident came to light after the student revealed his ordeal to his mother who later filed a complaint with the Brahmani Tarang Police.

As per the complaint, the minor student was forced into unnatural sex repeatedly over a period of time. The student’s mother said, unable to bear the exploitation, the boy had also allegedly attempted suicide.

“My son revealed the incident after I asked him the reason behind his suicide attempt. Besides, he told that he was afraid and worried of what his father’s reaction would be after knowing about the incident and attempted to end his life,” said the student’s mother.

“The teacher used to call me to his room at night but I always denied. He also calls other students to his room,” the minor boy told his mother.
