Bihar paper leak: Ministers named in probe report?

Patna: Names of several political leaders, including two Cabinet ministers, have surfaced in the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) scam even as the Opposition demanded a CBI probe into it.

Out of the two Cabinet ministers in the grand secular alliance government, Alok Mehta, the cooperative minister, is considered close to RJD supremo Lalu Yadav.

“I am a political leader and sometimes people come to me with such requests. I am ready to appear before the SIT to clear their doubts over the whole issue,” Mr Mehta said while speaking on the controversy.

“There is a difference between political recommendations and conspiracy,” he added.

According to sources, names of these political leaders surfaced in the SIT report.
