Kamal-Rajini to compete in politics after films

Chennai: Competition between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in films may have been subtle, but it could become fierce if the latter decides to follow his "good friend" in taking active plunge into politics.  

But on Sunday, Kamal, who has also announced his intentions to join politics but has not come in clear terms, congratulated Rajinikanth and welcomed him. "I congratulate my brother Rajini for his social consciousness and his political entry. Welcome, Welcome," Kamal, who in the US for a shoot, tweeted.

 "Thank you very much for your kind wishes dear Kamal," Rajinikanth replied back. The two actors - both were introduced to the tinsel town by the legendary director K. Balachander - have shared a unique relationship in their more than four-decade long career in film industry. Though they began acting together in films, they decided to chart their own course after 1980s.
