Bhopal: A BJP MLA on Wednesday created a flutter in his party when he addressed Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath’s son Nakul, a prospective Congress candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as ‘would-be member of Parliament’ at a cultural function held in Chhindwara in MP.

Seoni MLA Dinesh Rai Munmun heaped praise on the chief minister while speaking at the cultural function held under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Kalchuri Ekta Mahasangh’ at Chhindwar and called the latter’s son Nakul who was also present on the occasion along with his father, a ‘would-be MP’.

Nakul was set to contest as a Congress candidate from Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency being vacated by Mr Nath in the upcoming LS elections.

Mr Nath, who represented Chhindwara in LS for eight times, was set to contest a byelection from the Chhindwara Assembly constituency to enter the state Assembly.

“The Chhindwara model of development created by Mr Nath should be adopted in the rest of MP. Mr Nath has a development-oriented outlook and he would ensure rapid development of MP in coming days”, Mr Roy said.

His comments coming ahead of the forthcoming LS polls have left BJP red-faced.
