New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday lashed out at Congress's decision to not forge an alliance in Delhi for 2019 Lok Sabha polls with his party.

AAP has accused Congress of forming an unofficial alliance with BJP.

"Delhi is ready to fight against Cong-BJP alliance. People will defeat this unholy alliance," Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.

He tweeted minutes after Sheila Dikshit announced that Congress will not come into alliance with AAP.

The unanimous decision came after Congress president Rahul Gandhi held a two-hour meet with party's state leader at his home.

Earlier reports came that AAP and Congress are on negotiations over seat sharing in Delhi, where AAP was ready to give two seats but Congress was demanding three.

Interestingly, the ruling party had already announced candidates for six of the seven parliamentary seats in Delhi and one seat was left for a independent candidate.
