Terrorists will 'think twice' before attacking India: Shah
If the BJP will come to power again, we will throw out each and every infiltrator out from this country, Shah said.
Godda: BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday asserted that owing to measures taken by the Centre to curb terrorism, terrorists will now "think twice" before attacking India.
"Modi ji has ensured security on borders and gave due respect to Army and also strengthened its capability. Under the Modi government, Uri attack was answered by surgical strike and Pulwama attack by air strikes. Terrorists will think twice before attacking India now, as they know what will happen to them if they plan to attack us," he said while addressing a gathering here.
"If the BJP will come to power again, we will throw out each and every infiltrator out from this country," Shah reiterated.
Launching a scathing attack on Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Shah said Rahul, who criticised the Narendra Modi government and its achievements in the last four years, should reflect upon what the Congress did in the last 50-odd years.
"Rahul always questions Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the work he did in four years, but can he tell us what Congress did in 50 years? Modi ji brought the budget in favour of farmers. Kishan Samman Niti will now provide Rs 6,000 every year to each farmer. Rahul says what will happen with Rs 6,000. But does he know if potatoes are cultivated above or below the ground?" he quipped.
"When Congress government was at the Centre, they waived a loan of Rs 35,000 crore to 30 million farmers. Now, Modi ji has come up with a plan under which Rs75,000 crore will be given to 13 crore farmers every year," he added.
Continuing his tirade against the Congress, Shah said: "Many people ruled this country and they did nothing for its development. Rs 12 lakh crore scams and corruption took place during Congress rule. 13 crore people had no cylinder but the BJP did that, 6 crore women were given free cylinders, 8 crore toilets were constructed, 2 crore 33 lakh people were provided with electricity, Ayushman Bharat Yojana ensures Rs 5 lakh medical insurance free of cost. It has become possible under Modi government that poor don't need to worry about their treatment as all the medical cost will be borne by the government."
Comparing budget allocated for Jharkhand by the BJP and Congress governments, Shah said: "Jharkhand received Rs 55,000 crore during Congress' rule, however, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi the state was given Rs 3,12, 280 crore."
Taking a dig at the grand alliance formed by various opposition parties to defeat Prime Minister Modi in the upcoming general elections, Shah said: "Mahagathbandan will not bring any development to this country as it is a gathbandhan made for power. We want all 14 seats in Jharkhand. All parties in India win elections on the basis of their leaders but the BJP doesn't need any leader to win elections because we have booth workers."
