Ajit Jogi, Mayawati to address meeting
Both the leaders would jointly address a public meeting in Bilashpur in Chhattisgarh, said a JCC spokesman.
Bhopal: Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) president Ajit Jogi and BSP supremo Mayawati, who have joined hands to fight the coming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh together, would jointly sound poll bugle for the alliance on Friday.
Both the leaders would jointly address a public meeting in Bilashpur in Chhattisgarh, said a JCC spoke-sman. The meeting would galvanise the cadr-es of both the parties and gear them up for the Chh-attisgarh assembly elections, scheduled to be hel-d in two phases on Nove-mber 12 and 20, he added.
A JCC leader said BSP chief’s presence in the meeting along with Mr Jogi would strengthen the prospects of alliance in the ensuing assembly elections.
The formation of alliance has raised the prospect of a triangular contest in Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh has hitherto witnessed bipolar politics involving BJP and Congress. While JCC has been given 55 seats, BSP got the rest 35 seats in the seat sharing arrangement.
