UP BJP war with SBSP intensifies
It may be recalled that Mr Rajbhar has been issuing statements against the Yogi government since the past few months.
Lucknow: The war of words between the BJP and its ally Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has started intensifying with the BJP warning the ally to ‘exercise restraint while issuing statements’.
The SBSP, on Monday, retaliated by saying that it would continue to fight for the rights of the poor and it was the problem of the BJP if it did not understand the sentiment.
UP BJP president Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey had ‘advised’ SBSP president and UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar to be more cautious while making statements. “It is not in good taste to issue statements every day and create controversies. He should realize his responsibilities as a minister or else the party will be compelled to take action”, the state BJP president warned.
He further said that efforts had been made to make the SBSP minister see reason and he hoped that the minister would mend his ways.
Mr Om Prakash Rajbhar returned the fire on Monday and said that “If fighting for the rights of the poor is wrong, he would prefer to continue making this mistake. I am not in politics to enjoy the perks of power but I am here to make sure that the deprived sections of society get what they deserve”.
It may be recalled that Mr Rajbhar has been issuing statements against the Yogi government since the past few months. For claiming that corruption has increased in the BJP regime to accusing Rajputs and Yadavs of being the largest consumer of liquor and then demanding prohibition, Mr Rajbhar makes sure that he remains in the news.
