Married to party, says Rahul Gandhi
Gandhi expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the Telangana PCC.
Hyderabad: The All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi, while expressing confidence that the Congress would come back to power in Telangana state, said that the party would improve its position in AP also. In an interaction with the media on Tuesday, Mr Gandhi did not rule out an alliance with the Telugu Desam in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He said that the Pradesh Congress Committees (PCCs) would take a decision on alliance with like-minded parties in the state. “The High Command will take a decision after receiving the recommendations from the PCCs. The PCCs have been given a free hand on the alliance issue.”
Mr Gandhi expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the Telangana PCC. When asked about not including any Telugu leader in the reconstituted Con-gress Working Commi-ttee, the highest decision making body, Mr Gandhi, hinting at changes, said, “It is not static, but dynamic.”
During an interaction with the media on Tuesday, when a reporter asked him about his marriage, he said, “My marriage is over with Congress Party long back.” At the same meeting, Mr Gandhi asked the organisers whether they served coffee and tea to mediapersons and they said, “Yes sir, coming”. At the end, when he said the chai has not come yet, one reporter commented: “Sir you have a problem with “chaiwala”. Mr Gandhi laughed lit off.
