UP Congress leaders will campaign in Gujarat now
A party spokesman said that leaders from UP Congress will share their experiences with the BJP with the people of Gujarat.
Lucknow: Senior Congress leaders in Uttar Pradesh will soon join the party’s campaign in Gujarat.
AICC general secretary in-charge of UP Ghulam Nabi Azad, UPCC president Raj Babbar and party MP Pramod Tiwari will join party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the Gujarat campaign by the end of this week.
The three leaders will, however, keep coming back to Uttar Pradesh to campaign in the municipal elections, which will go to polls in a week from now.
A party spokesman said that leaders from UP Congress will share their experiences with the BJP with the people of Gujarat.
“They would be sharing the experience from UP which has seen the BJP both at Central and state levels. At the same time, the leaders would gather first hand wisdom on the much-publicised “Guja-rat model of governance” so that it can be exposed in UP which is also having urban local bodies polls,” the spokesman said.
Talking to this correspondent, Mr Raj Babbar said, “The so-called Gujarat model of development is one of the many lies that the BJP has glorified before the people.”
