Jaipur: Following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje too has begun direct interaction with people of the state. The CM spoke with people for nearly an hour listening to their problems and taking questions. Although, it was not clear if this would be a regular affair or was just one off.

What made her programme unique and interesting from Prime Minister’s “Mann Ki Baat” is that it wasn’t a monologue but interactive. While, the PM just delivers speech to convey his thoughts to the people without taking any questions from the public, Ms Raje improvised her own “Mann Ki Baat” by making it two-way interaction, not only listening to people’s problems and giving assurance to quickly resolve them, she also invited suggestions and feedback and even answered questions.

On her part, the CM said that if the people of the state give her 15 years like they have given to the BJP governments in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, she too will be able to give better results. Highlighting achievements of her government, the CM sought people’s support for development of the state.

Later, during an interaction, the CM assured a person that his complaint regarding “Rajasthan Sambal”, an online system of registering and resolving problems, has been noted and there would be action soon.

The person had complained that a complaint made two years ago regarding water problem was closed with wrong answers.

One Subhash from Bikaner said that there was no bijli, sadak and pani in his village to which the CM said that if his village is a gram panchayat it should not be the case. She told him to give details to the local MLA. To Jairam Saini from Sikar, she promised sooner implementation of reservation in promotion.

When Tej from Jodhpur asked her why oil refinery has been stuck and there has been no work in Jodhpur ever since she came to power, the CM replied that the government was working on amendment in the agreement so that state doesn’t get a raw deal. As far as work is concerned, there has been progress in every division of the state.

There were many more questions from MNREGA to complaint against Bhamashah health scheme, from query regarding appointment of lecturers to question about basis of government employees’ transfers.

The CM concluded the interaction with a couplet:
Kah do mushkilo se thoda aur kathin ho jaye (Tell Problems to become a bit difficult)
Kah do chunotiyo se thods aur jatil ho jaye (Ask challenges to become more complicated)
Napna chahte ho hamare paro ki Himmat ko (If you want to see strength of my wings)
Kah do aasman se thoda aur mushkil ho jaye. (Tell the sky to become a little more difficult).
