Amit Shah neglected me for 3 years, but Rahul loves me: Udit Raj
'Rahul Gandhi told me that your heart is not for the BJP. Since last 3 years I had been waiting, Amit Shah didn't give me time,' Raj said
New Delhi: North West Delhi MP Udit Raj, who left the BJP and joined the Congress party on Wednesday, on Wednesday claimed that BJP president Amit Shah didn't give him time to meet since last three years, however, Congress president Rahul Gandhi loves him.
"I was told from inside that I provoke the Dalits. I kept saying that all their schemes for Dalits are fake. I have joined Congress because they (BJP) do not need me. In BJP's internal survey, I am the number one performer. This was the only seat on which BJP was winning besides other six in Delhi. On all others, they are on the verge of being defeated. I will surely bring down 10-15 seats of the BJP," Udit Raj told ANI here.

"If I will not like the Congress policy for Dalit and women then I will oppose them too. I am not a selfish person. Rahul Gandhi has three-four times said to me in the Parliament that you are in wrong party. He said to me that your heart is not for the BJP. Of course, he loves me and I will work with him. Since last three years I had been waiting, but Amit Shah didn't give time to me," he added.
Udit Raj left the BJP on Tuesday after the party announced Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans' candidature from the North West Lok Sabha seat. Hans joined the party in 2016. Raj was elected from the constituency in 2014.
