PM Modi to address RS; Oppn to move resolution against AADHAR and SEZ bills in LS

Prime Minister will be making his maiden address in the parliament after coming to power in his second term.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply in Rajya Sabha to the motion of thanks on President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to Parliament.

In Lok Sabha, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Pradesh will move the bill to amend Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and then to amend the ndian Telegraph Act, 1885 and the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will pitch for the amendment of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Act, 2005, Hindustan Times reported.

Opposition leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Shashi Tharoor and Saugata Roy are expected to move a resolution against the AADHAR and Other Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 (No. 9 of 2019) and also against the Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Bill, 2019.

PM Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
