New Delhi: Bollywood’s Dream Girl and BJP MP Hema Malini has no interest in the coveted post of chief ministership, which she claimed she can have “in a minute” but prefers to be free to pursue other interests. The MP from Mathura said she loves working for the ‘Brijwasis’ in her constituency of “Krishna nagari.”

“If I want to I can become that in a minute, but I don’t like to be tied up. My freedom of movement will end,” said the Mathura MP in Rajasthan’s Banswara yesterday when asked if she would become the CM if she gets the chance.

Ms Malini said she can become the chief minister anytime but would rather be free to pursue other interests. “I am not too keen(for the CM’s post),” said the BJP MP in an apparent reference to the post in Uttar Pradesh, now held by her party’s Yogi Adityanath.

The BJP MP said she got to become an MP because of her film career.

“I am known mainly because of my name in Bollywood, call it ‘dream girl’ or Hema Malini,” she said referring to one unforgettable role. She said she had done a lot of work for the BJP even before entering Parliament. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP MP said he has worked for farmers, women and the poor.
