Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday slammed Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress MP from Guna, for making a “silly thing” like non-invitation to an official function an issue, terming it the “mindset of a maharaja”. Talking to reporters at Panna, which falls under Bundelkhand regi-on of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Chouhan said the scion of erstwhile Gwalior royal family took a ‘silly thing” like his name not figuring in the foundation-laying stone, very seriously and chose to make it a big issue.

“He gets upset when his name was not mentioned in the plaque erected on the occasion of laying the foundation for a project. It reflected the ‘mindset of a maharaja’,” the chief minister said.
