I-T sleuths grill Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav
The I-T department is probing their alleged involvement in money-laundering and benami property deals, and links with shell companies.
Patna: In fresh trouble for RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav were grilled by the income-tax department here Tuesday over alleged benami assets and suspicious land deals worth Rs 1,000 crores.
This fresh questioning of the RJD chief’s immediate family came two days after his party’s massive “BJP Bhagao Desh Bachao” rally here.
Tejashwi arrived at the I-T regional office here at around 10.30 am and left after eight hours. Sources said Rabri Devi and her son were questioned on their personal finances and assets.

It had earlier attached properties, including two plots for malls in Patna. Sources said that these plots were transferred in lieu of contracts awarded to businessmen and hoteliers when Lalu Yadav was railway minister in 2005.
