After being on the run for almost 48 hours, Rocky Yadav was finally arrested from his father’s factory in Bodh Gaya early Tuesday morning. Rocky Yadav, who had hit the headlines for killing schoolboy Aditya Sachdev, is known for his flashy lifestyle and costly cars. People remember him as “the one who never liked people crossing his path”.
Rakesh Ranjan Yadav, alias Rocky Yadav, was a Delhi University student. Sources close to the family say he had completed his masters in political science from DU. He was also a member of the rifle club in Delhi and is a sharpshooter. Sources also reveal that he loved fast cars and sophisticated guns and the revolver which he used for killing schoolboy Aditya Saturday evening was Italian-made and licensed. Though it is not yet clear how many cars Rocky has, the Range Rover which he drove on Saturday was in his name and had a Delhi number plate.
“He used to lead a very high-end life in Delhi. Fast cars, expensive accessories and the latest gadgets were his hobbies,” a source said, adding, “Though he has no previous criminal record, he was raised in a criminal environment and currently a police team has been sent to Delhi to investigate his background.”
According to the police investigating the case, his mother, prominent JD(U) leader and MLC Manorama Devi, is also under the scanner.
