Home minister Rajnath Singh’s statement: “It’s unfortunate that the JNU incident has been backed by Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed,” is speculation at its worst. This exposes the Bharatiya Janata Party’s sudden touchiness about slogans on Kashmiri separatism. The BJP is using false rhetoric to hijack the political space in JNU by deploying state power and arresting students for protesting.
