A bunch of crayons and a notebook can keep a child busy for hours, but as we grow up, drawing falls lower and lower on our priority list to the point that many adults don’t even pick up a pencil anymore. But something interesting is brewing in the city which will not only encourage you to draw again but will also give you insights into your personality.

Graphologist Mithila M Nate is organising a drawing analysis workshop to help you better understand yourself and will also proffer solutions to problems you may be facing. Talking about the workshop, Mithila says, “Drawing analysis is done through a simple drawing. So everything, right from strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, their health, their finance, everything can be gauged from a person’s drawing. In the workshop, participants will be asked to create a simple drawing while including a few elements I’ll be telling them to add. Their drawings will be interpreted and then, once their personality is known, I can suggest a few solutions to help them improve their lives in required areas.”

A professional graphologist, Mithila can crack the code to a better life by understanding handwriting and drawing. Explaining how drawing analysis works, she says, “There is complex science involved, basically there’s a hand and brain coordination and we analyse that.”

During the workshop, Mithila will give you a few simple objects to draw. “I will give them a few simple elements, that will give them a background of what to draw. After that, it depends on them how they interpret it.” Similar to the House-Tree-Person test, where the way an individual composes the picture reveals a lot about their personality, the drawing test too functions on the same principle. So, the side of the paper the individual tends to use, or how detailed their picture is, the size of the drawing and other aspects reveal interesting details about the participants and this is what they can discover via the workshop.

Not just personality, Mithila claims that she can even uncover the root cause of problems one is facing. Further explaining this, Mithila says, “Basically, if you’re facing any issue, like you’re struggling with your finances or it’s a health issue, this exercise can help you discover the root cause of these problems,” and adds, “For example, if there is a health issue, you go to the doctor to get it treated, but sometimes, the disease or illness surfaces again. That usually happens because the root cause is not known. So through drawing analysis, the root cause, which basically is hidden in your subconscious mind, can be pinpointed.”

The workshop will take place at Ministry Of New, Fort on March 9, 11 am onwards
