Diwali is right around the corner, and people are getting ready to dazzle everyone in their festive best. Getting fabrics tailored and looking up at social media sites for ideas to look gorgeous is definitely on everyone’s priority list

She shares a few styling tips for Diwali 2017
This year we are going a little easy on the eyes with pastel shades. Lighter shades not the usual hot pinks and Dark reds for Diwali and Christmas this year. it will not be the usual red and green but more of paler tones of yellow and various shades greens.
This is the year of Indo-western clothes, showcasing the best of Indian textile in western designs, cuts and styles. Poochampalli, ikkat, the popular madras checks are all making a comeback as maxi dresses, dungarees and even skirts. Playing around with fabric is what I recommend.
Natural fabrics such as jute, linen, malmal, pure silk will be the focus this year. Embellishments on garments whether in the form of pearl work, stone work or even a brooch is what the party circuits will see.
Sarees will get a facelift with exciting blouses with dramatic, exaggerated sleeves with flares, frills, cold shoulders and interesting cuts.
Designers with a penchant for flowy fabrics, interesting embellishments will be popular choices this festive season. Christmas especially will belong to the designer who can use western influences in flattering silhouettes.
Anti-fit cuts, loose oversized styles, Kaftan style tops, long dresses, and sarees with interesting drapes will be in vogue this year.
