A timeless classic and a trusted staple; Denim is a fabric which has stood the test of time and fleeting fads. Of little wonder, denim is seeing takers by the hordes yet again. But, what is the seasonal denim upgrade like?  We check with experts...

Kylie Jenner shows how ripped look isn’t restricted to just denim jeans. And boy, we agree!

D’s back with a twist: “Embroidered denims, denims with patches, lots of ripped and bullet hole denims are reigning this season,” begins designer Manoviraj. Asserting how the classic denim jacket’s look is being immaculately imbibed into other breathable summer-friendly fabrics, he adds, “Yes, the classic denim jacket is being recreated through fabrics like linen and other Japanese fabrics. Simply put, denims are now being sported with a twist that syncs with the needs of the season.”

A model slays in extreme ripped jeans!

For those wanting to take a detour from the classic cut, now is the right time.  “Boot cut jeans come with a great fit till the knees and then subtly open out from  your calf muscles. And it is very in this season, opines designer Prerana Sarkar.  For those wanting to give skinnies a break, she adds, “If you do not   have the body and confidence to wear skinny jeans, then go for  straight legged jeans. Those  are in-between skinny and boyfriend jeans or flared cuts. They make your legs look longer than they are.”

Ripped denims can never go out of vogue.

Bottoms up, crops high:  Stylist Rhea Sharma believes boyfriend crop jeans are the best bet,”Suitable for women who are curvy or have a pear or apple-shaped body types. Boot cut jeans open up slowly below the knees, this style flares up. They look best on tall and curvy women, those who are pear-shaped, and round body types. However, avoid if you’re on the shorter side, as they might make you look shorter. Boyfriend crop jeans are both great choices for curvy women.”

Diane Kruger puts together a denim look that’s perfect for summer.

Low, mid and high waist cuts are trendy options to sport as well,  believes Prerana.  “From runways to airport looks, everyone loves sporting these. If you have lean and sexy legs that you cannot wait to flaunt, these are for you.”
