If you start your day with a mug of black coffee and end it with a glass of wine to unwind, here's some good news. A Napa Valley-based cafe is making wine flavored coffee. Molinari cafe creates the drink with a speciality “organic coffee bean” roaster. According to it's website, “The full-bodied coffee beans relax in a beautiful small-batch, artisan-crafted wine, absorbing its nose and history. The coffee is then carefully dried and hand roasted in small batches.”

While adding alcohol to coffee isn't a new concept — the Italians have been having espresso with a shot of grape-based grappa (brandy) — this is the first time that coffee beans are soaked in vino prior to brewing.

While the distribution is still very limited, there is buzz that other producers may work on this concept. Looks like whiskey-flavoured tea or coffee-vodka breakfast drinks aren’t a thing of imagination any more!
