It may seem like sacrilege to add ingredients into your beer but once you get used to the idea, the possibilities are endless. These frosty, bubbly drinks are perfect for hot summer days and also when guests come calling. The key to making a perfect cocktail is to identify the strength of your beer and then complement them with other additions to build a rocking drink. Our experts share recipes that couldn't be easier to make.
The Pot of Gold by Butterfly High
Recipe:
- Vodka 45ml
- Elderflower syrup 15-20 ml
- Mint leaves 6 to 8
- Cucumber 5 to 6 slices
- Dash of lime
Method:
- Add mint leaves and slices of cucumber in a cocktail shaker.
- Muddle it gently and add elderflower syrup, a dash of lime, vodka. Add ice to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously and then strain into a cocktails glass,
- Once done, top it up with beer and add your garnish. Garnish with a slice of cucumber and edible gold glitter
Raspberry Mule Beer by 145 All Day Cafe + Bar
Recipe:
- Beer 120 ml
- Vodka 45ml
- Cranberry juice 30ml
- Raspberry puree 25ml
- Lime juice 15ml
- Handful of mint leaves muddled
Method:
- Add Vodka, cranberry juice, raspberry puree, 15 ml juice in the shaker with ice.
- Shake it up for 20 - 30 seconds and pour in the glass
- Top it up with chilled beer.

Recipe:
- Tequila 30 ml
- Blue curaçao 10 ml
- Passion fruit 10 ml
- Pineapple 30 ml
- Lime juice 30 ml
Method:
- Add all the ingredients in the cocktail shaker.
- Make sure it is shaken well for all the ingredients to mix.
- Serve it in an old-fashioned glass and top it up with beer.
Red Sea Beer Cocktail by British Brewing Company
Recipe:
- Sour mix (mix of lime juice and sugar syrup)15 ml
- Vodka 30 ml
- Cranberry juice 50 ml
- Beer 200 ml
- Pomegranate seeds 1tbsp
- Ice 3 to 4 cubes
Method:
- Add pomegranate seeds to the shaker along with the vodka, cranberry juice and sour mix with ice.
- Shake up for 20-30 seconds and pour in a beer mug
- Top it up with chilled beer
- Serve chilled
