Man born without thighs is among only 25 people with the rare condition
Nathan found love with Chelsee who is at least a foot taller but despite her seeing it as an issue initially, they are now happy.
Rare conditions can leave people with life altering physical deformities and make every day a struggle. While such people often face stigma and alienation from society, love and affection have the ability to transform lives.
34-year-old Nathan Hrdlicka from New Mexico is just one in 25 people across the world to be born without thighs. After being taunted as a midget for most of his life, the 4 feet 6 inches tall man has found love in a girl he met on Facebook.
19-year-old Chelsee is at least a foot taller than Nathan and initially saw the difference as an issue initially. But she saw past it as she fell in love with him and now the couple are happy with each other.
Nathan has a rare condition called tbilateral proximal femoral focal deficiency which means his knee bones are directly connected to his hip bones. He is also the only one among people with the disorder to be able to walk.
The condition brings a lot of pain for Nathan as he literally walks on the tips of his bones which wears him out. Nathan says he feels unique since he is one of only 25 people with the disorder globally.
